Dr. Matsui received his undergraduate degree from Walsh University in North Canton, Ohio where he was awarded an athletic/academic split scholarship and played four years of Collegiate Baseball.

He received his M.Sc. degree in 2009 in Oral Microbiology, his D.D.S. degree in 2013 and his specialty M.Sc. in dental anesthesia in 2022 all from the University of Toronto, Faculty of Dentistry.

He currently practices throughout the GTA primarily with government-assistance programs and provides dental anesthesia services in Sioux Lookout, ON for First Nations populations. He is a dental consultant for the Sioux Lookout First Nations Health Authority and a diplomate for the ADBA.

Dr. Matsui also a certified Provincial Baseball coach and has been actively involved in numerous volunteer, community and mentorship programs.
